Burlington, Ont.
BURLINGTON - It's a church for people who don't go to church. The Starting Point Church is designed to be fun, inspirational and accepting. It's also not too long, not too early and everyone is welcome. "I wondered if there was a way to make church easier to invite people to come who don't go," said Mike Hauser, the 34-year-old lead pastor and Burlington resident, "and how do I make church more appealing to the next generation." The Starting Point Church has already held two preview services at its home in the Corpus Christi Secondary School auditorium and is holding another on Sunday, Jan. 13. This is all in preparation for the church's official launch on Feb. 10. Hauser said he was inspired to establish Starting Point after his own experiences with church.
