About a dozen employees, including [Mark S. Schweiker], were added to the courthouse payroll yesterday. If the current policy continues, their paychecks issued Jan. 22 will include payment for one week's work.

Schweiker made his comments during the first meeting of 1988 of the Bucks County Salary Board, which oversees payroll and personnel matters in the courthouse. The three commissioners as well as the president judge and the county's elected row officers serve on the Salary Board.

Schweiker and Trench will be paid $37,237 this year. [Andrew L. Warren], as chairman of the commissioners, will earn $38,616.
