Also in conjunction with the Great American Smokeout, Peggy Stroup of the hospital's respiratory department will visit fifth-grade classes in Lehighton and Palmerton school districts beginning next week to tell children about the dangers of smoking.

Rev. [John W. Davies] was installed by the Rev. Donald E. Overlock, Penn Northeast Conference minister who worked closely with Rev. Davies during his seminary training and ordination.

In 1987, Rev. Davies graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre. He graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1989.
