Abstract (Document Summary)

A choking Nazareth press caused seven turnovers and accounted for two 7-0 scoring runs in the first few minutes of play -- a 21-7 lead - - and a steady coolness in the closing minutes held off a final Solehi assault that allowed the Blue Eagles to remain unbeaten at 11- 0 (5-0 league).

"I thought that it was our defense and our patience that payed off at the start and at the end," Nazareth head coach [Jim Roth] said after Solehi tied the game at 44-44 before Nazareth took off for the win.

Nazareth went up 7-0 and Solehi called time out, but the Spartans didn't wilt in front of the harassing press. A very disciplined Nazareth unit made it 21-11 after one period and 32-23 at the end of the first half.
