CHANGE OF THE TIMES IS ALL ABOUT MONEY
[FIFTH Edition]
Morning Call
-
Allentown, Pa.
It may come as a shock to the traditional National Football League fan, but in the upcoming season, not one game will start at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. Now listen up close because I'm not going to repeat. The first round of games on Sundays this season will start at 1:01 p.m. and not a minute sooner, under new, precise NFL guidelines. You rush in from the grill with hot dog in hand thinking you missed the kickoff? Think again. But even non-Eagles fans should note that fan-friendly NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has just given you an extra minute to jump out of your Sunday best, jump into a team T-shirt, pull up your shorts and slap that cheesehead hat on your head.
