Police said [Joseph M. Knise] and his passenger, Carolyn Marie Spang, 23, of the Fern Lane address, were injured when he drove around a lowered crossing gate and behind the caboose of an eastbound Conrail freight, and crashed into the front of the Harrisburg-bound freight.
