Leatherneck
-
Quantico
According to the Young Marines Web site, new members go through a 26-hour orientation program, affectionately called "boot camp," where they learn about Young Marines history, customs and courtesies, close order drill, physical fitness and military rank structure. After graduation from boot camp, participants learn a variety of skills, earn rank and have opportunities to work toward ribbon awards in areas such as leadership, community service, swimming, academic excellence, first-aid and drug-resistance education.
