Abstract (Document Summary)

LONDON, July. 3.--[By the Associated Press.] Maj. Gen. William C. Gorgas, former Surgeon-General of the United States Army, died at an early hour this morning. Gen. Gorgas's death was very peaceful. He was unconscious most of the time for the last few days, according to the hospital attendants, and was not even able to recognize Mrs. Gorgas or Brig.Gen. Noble, the only Americans present at the end.
