Abstract (Document Summary)
ON THE banks of the Lumbee River in the sandhills of North Carolina there is a tiny community known as Riverton, which I am proud to claim as my birthplace. For many of its sons and daughters whose craft have been borne by time "to currents new," Riverton has become something of a summer resor.
