Speaking to approximately 3500 employees at a noonday meeting yesterday, Donald W. Douglas,. president of the Douglas Aircraft Company at Santa Monica, reaffirmed his position on the open-shop plan and announced a blanket salary increase to all employees. The increase will raise the pay roll by $520,000 annually.
