During the past decade Israel has seen a steady improvement in the quality of its wines versus their quantity, and the Golan Heights Winery stands in the vanguard of this movement. Revisiting this modern winery was both pleasing to the eye and a feast for the palate. It was a treat to watch a progressive and sophisticated wine- making institution stride into the new century. As a result of its honest efforts Israel is on the map of the selected wines of the world.

"I think we live in a world of miracles, and the Golan Heights wines are the result. We knew it wasn't good enough simply to say the wines were kosher. They had to compete internationally, and we're happy to state that they are regarded as good wines in their own right."

[Victor Schoenfeld] says: "Nowadays, wines are crossing boundaries with terrific speed, which isn't easy for Israeli wines. There are stigmas attached to the marketing of Israeli wines - with time we have overcome this barrier by building a small niche in famous restaurants and hotels around the world.
