Abstract (Document Summary)

Palestinians fired five mortar shells that landed between Kibbutz Nahal Oz and its adjoining IDF post inside Israel last night. In response, IDF tanks shelled Palestinian security headquarters at Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip.

Palestinians claim the IDF also shelled a Palestinian security position at Nuffirat near Dir el-Ballah and that four Palestinians were wounded.

Palestinians also fired anti-tank grenades at soldiers near the Southern Gaza District Coordinating Office. The shelling continued despite an IDF operation launched after midnight on Thursday in response to an earlier barrage of mortar shells fired by Palestinians.
