1/2 cup white flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 cup instant oatmeal 1 cup buttermilk 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup oil 3/4 cup raisins In a bowl, mix flours, baking powder, salt and baking soda. In another bowl, mix oatmeal and buttermilk and set aside for 5 minutes. Add the egg, sugar and oil to the oatmeal mixture. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon till blended. Mix in the raisins. 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 cup white flour 100 gr. butter or margarine, melted 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 large or two small bananas, mashed with a fork 3/4 cup buttermilk In a large bowl, mix sugar, baking powder, baking soda and both flours. In a smaller bowl, or the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together cooled melted margarine, eggs, vanilla, mashed banana and buttermilk.
