Daniels' base pay will rank him as the third-highest paid president of Indiana's seven public colleges -- behind Indiana University's Michael McRobbie and Ball State University's Jo Ann M. Gora. Some of the benchmark examples used in the contract are: seeking affordability, keeping student debt lower than the national average, improvement on graduation rates, creating a way to measure overall academic excellence of Purdue, and raising money from alumni, friends, corporations and others.
