Writing about LexisNexis is difficult. Your LexisNexis is likely not the author's LexisNexis. It's a common brand name, but people do not have a common understanding of the service. What you see on your screen can be quite different from what others see on theirs, depending on whether you subscribe to Lexis only, Nexis only, the combined service, the academic version, or specific libraries and resources. Variances due to geographic location and screen configuration also affect your concept of LexisNexis. Further complicating matters is that, when a subscription is managed by someone else, as is likely to be the case with enterprisewide licensing agreements, you don't even know the resources to which you don't have access. On the Academic Product Wiki, LexisNexis is showing its new interface, both the Easy Search and the Power Search versions. The redesigned Easy Search interface for LexisNexis Academic more adequately highlights search features and sources than the previous version.
