Near-Time's position in the cross-organization collaboration market has paved the way for a new business venture: Near-Time Premium. This new offering is a hosted Web 2.0 collaboration and publishing platform that lets groups and businesses, ranging from authors to membership organizations, build and create their own online commercial marketplaces. Near-Time started as a hosted platform that integrated blogs and wikis to let groups work together in one space, while sharing information, files, and calendars. With Near-Time Premium, the service is subscription-based at a variety of price points, which CEO Reid Conrad said is building a whole new business model for their customers.
