Route planning is just one of the features in Microsoft Streets & Trips 2002, a powerful program offering information on more than 6.4 million miles of local, city, state, and highway roads in the US and Canada. Streets & Trips lets you instantly find a map showing almost any address simply by entering it in the program's Find box. You can customize a map using drawing tools consistent with the tools you find in other Microsoft programs, but the tools have been adapted to make them specific to map annotation. The program also lets you easily update road construction information. You just connect to the Web and download the data. Microsoft Pocket Streets 2002, a program included with the Streets & Trips CD-ROM, lets you easily create and download maps to a hand-held PC. A new feature for 2002 is its GPS (Global Positioning System) support.
