Scopus, Elsevier's citation and abstract database of peer-reviewed literature, has expanded thanks to a partnership with Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL). Elsevier and DCL are working together on the Scopus Cited References Expansion Program, which aims to enrich millions of items in the Scopus database. The expansion project began in 2014 and was planned for 3 years, enriching 4 million items each year. By the end of 2015, says Eleonora Eppens, senior program manager for Scopus, they will reach 8 million items processed.
