As the new CIO for OCLC, Jeff Jacobs hopes to help manage the flow of information. Prior to joining OCLC earlier this year, Jacobs held several positions at JPMorgan Chase: CTO for the digital consumer businesses, managing director, and SVP. In his new role, Jacobs is responsible for computer operations, software delivery, quality assurance, event monitoring, and the first level of customer support for OCLC users around the world. According to Jacobs, the company reorganized its technology team in October to combine the engineering and the systems and technology organizations into one team.
