BiblioCommons began as a nonprofit youth literacy initiative with the goal of building a peer-to-peer social platform that would foster a love of reading. Now, BiblioCommons partners with public libraries across the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia to offer a subscription-based SaaS catalog environment that relies on a single codebase. This allows for feature and functionality sharing across libraries. Each library can configure the software to use its own branding and Web site design, as well as host any of its existing software.
