For those of you who weren't fortunate enough to have grown up in the 1960s and 1970s -- or those wondering what the heck a board game is -- Strat-O-Matic was a system in which you chose a lineup from virtually any point in baseball history and, using magically designed cards and dice, played a ballgame in 30 minutes or less. The word "Strat-O-Matic" is in a typeface ripped straight from the 1970s. Out in that same remote region of the world is another lovely ballclub pun, the brand-new El Paso (Texas) Chihuahuas of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. Speaking of an assortment of items, it's interesting to note the 25 minor league teams that sold the most gear in 2013, as reported by Minor League Baseball.
