The National Security Agency (NSA) and its surveillance tactics have been a hot topic since Edward Snowden first leaked news last year of the agency's surveillance of citizens worldwide. NSA programs PRISM and XKeyscore, which store digital communications and allow access to the full text of emails sent around the world, infuriated people across the globe. In an effort to protest these types of mass surveillance activities, numerous companies, online platforms, and activist groups organized a daylong protest called The Day We Fight Back.
