Abstract (Document Summary)

In a recent nationally representative survey, the Pew Research Center's Internet & American life Project found that 91% of adults in the US now use cellphones. The phones are used for far more than making calls. While texting remains the No 1 activity of cellphone users (81% of those surveyed), other activities are increasing in popularity. The number of cellphone users who engage in video calling has tripled since 2011, and app downloading has risen by 22% since 2009.
