U.S. Hits Record of Home Broadband
Most American homes -- in fact, 70% -- had a high-speed broadband Internet connection as of May 2013, according to "Home Broadband 2013," a recently released report from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project. This figure represents a boost of 4% since Pew Research Center's last study was released in 2012, marking the highest recorded proportion of American adults (18-plus years old) to have a broadband connection in their homes. Dial-up is holding steady at 3% of American adults, a number it has maintained since August 2011.
