The Medical Library Association (MLA) held its annual meeting in Boston in early May. The meeting incorporated three other conferences into its program: the 11th International Congress on Medical Librarianship, the 7th International Conference of Animal Health Information Specialists, and the 6th International Clinical Librarian Conference. The focus on the conference theme of One Health: Information in an Interdependent World, coupled with the additional conferences, increased attendance to about 2,500 people. It boasted of being a strong international conference, with 140 attendees from 35 countries. Many presentations had a non-US perspective. Some 180 formal session presentations, several informal discussion groups, 310 posters, vendor presentations in the Technology Showcases and at Sunrise Seminars (starting at 7 am), and association business meetings made for an overwhelming array of information confronting medical librarians.
