No matter what kind of economic woes the country may be experiencing, libraries still have a stronghold in the community. That's the big takeaway from "The State of America's Libraries" 2013 report, recently released from the American Library Association. When it comes to supplying support and resources for patrons and school libraries, sharing free digital content with patrons, or providing access to ebooks, libraries and library staff continue to respond to their respective communities no matter how budgets or staffs are trimmed. The report points to library services for the 12 million people who are unemployed and the millions of others who are underemployed.
