The author blames Evernote for getting her hooked. While she uses Twitter as a public filing cabinet for ideas she takes away from conferences, she now has a place to put her not-yet-fully-formed ideas where she can always find them again, from any device or browser. It's gotten worse; now Evernote is promoting a smart notebook by Moleskine. You handwrite your notes on the pages and then put small stickers -- called Smart Stickers -- next to each item you want tagged. The impact on info pros of this migration to the cloud will be significant. More importantly, life in the cloud means that info pros are using different skill sets now.
