outstanding archival characteristics (60 year rated) and its ability to
reproduce the full range of colors and densities from the original image. The
luster finish is the perfect touch to complement any photo image.

Q. Is there anything special I should know about the care of my new page print?
A. Yes. We have framed your page print with great care to preserve it for many years and that care should be
continued in your home. Here are a few tips to help preserve your new treasure and other works of art.
- Hang your artwork away
from direct sunlight or direct fluorescent lighting. Ultraviolet rays can
cause fading and deterioration to the artwork.
- Avoid hanging artwork
near a fireplace, radiator, or other heat source. The heat may cause the
artwork to become brittle and deteriorate.
- Avoid hanging artwork on
an exterior wall. The fluctuating humidity from outside walls can cause
condensation to form thus warping the artwork.
- Clean your artwork with
specially formulated glass cleaners that do not contain ammonia. Spray the
cleaner on a soft cotton cloth, and then wipe the surface of the glass. Never
spray the cleaner directly on the glass. It may seep under the glass and cause
damage to the artwork and matte. Avoid using paper towels. They may cause fine
scratches to fine finishes.
- Always use an adequate
hanger size to avoid damage to the artwork and other furnishings. A good tip
with larger pieces is to use two wall hangers to keep the picture more secure
and to allow for easier straightening.
Q. How will my page look?
A. How can we provide literally millions of newspaper page images from as far back as 200 years ago? The answer lies in microfilm. Please keep in mind that a 100 year old newspaper page may have been filmed over 60 years ago. While we are delighted to be able to provide these archival pages, they may showcase their historic character with minor blemishes and other marks captured at the moment they were filmed. All pages prior to 1/1/2003, including those which were originally published in color, are printed in black and white. For 1/1/2003 and later, only front pages and section fronts are available in color. You must select the special color option in the Publication menu for a color front page or section front. All other pages are printed in black and white from microfilm scans.
Q. When will my page be available?
A. There may be a delay of up to 90 days from the original publication date in processing your order while we await receipt of recent issues from the publisher. If you would still like to place your order today, your credit card will not be charged until the page is available.
