Pietrorazio is a well-known Hamilton criminal. He was the leader of the violent Barton-Sherman gang in the 1970s and was sentenced to a total of 18 years for conspiracy to commit murder, ordering a house bombing and trafficking in cocaine.

He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of conspiracy to commit murder and was sentenced to nine years, in addition to nine years he was already serving in Kingston penitentiary for bombing, weapons offences and cocaine trafficking.
