Abstract (Document Summary)

"It's a big ornamental clock," says Braden Kurczak of Waterloo, one of four students designing, machining and building the clock as their thesis project. "Let's just hope it works."

McMaster mechanical engineering students [Michael Paddags], left, Braden Kurczak, [Peter Whitred] and [Patrick Burton], decided for their thesis they would build an ornamental clock. It's been a lesson in all things, including financial.; Photo: Gary Yokoyama, the Hamilton Spectator
