Fourteen people from the Island Grill restaurant joined the lottery club -- from the cooks to the waitresses, dishwashers, owner and even a regular customer. During the 2007 Sleeper Lake fire, which ravaged 18,256 acres of forest near Newberry, the Island Grill employees donated food and their time and fed the firefighters for free.
