The storied 28-mile stretch of road might be outfitted with unified light poles, benches or landscaping. "Woodward is important from a historical perspective, but now we have to look to the future to continue to make Woodward a tourist destination," said Paul Tait, executive director of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.
