The first-of-its-kind database was gathered through public records requests filed with each entity and includes pay records for more than 24,000 local municipal employees. In 2012, the highest pay among all city, village and town employees went to Janesville City Manager Eric Levitt and Menomonee Falls Village Manager Mark Fitzgerald, both of whom made a little more than $150,000.
