Arnette Jr. was a Murfreesboro man known for traveling the world, running a successful antiques auctioning business and still finding time to provide community service. A prolific author, Arnette wrote about his travels and community history, having written The Saga of the Lu-Ce-Bee, From Mink Slide to Main Street, History of East Main Street Church of Christ, Those East Main Street People and Their Houses, and his autobiography, Wheels, Deals, and Bridges, according to his obituary from Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
