| Facing hate mail, regulatory probes and dozens of civil suits over his role in the firm's fall, Mr. Fuld has publicly said he did all he could to save Lehman and has faulted the government for letting his firm fail while rescuing others. Mr. Fuld stayed on as Lehman's chief executive for 90 days after the bankruptcy filing, in part helping turnaround firm Alvarez & Marsal LLC as it began to wind down Lehman. |
