Blythe and Markley -- were looking for an architect to design a three-in-one building to house their law office, a hotel and a new site for City National Bank, where both lawyers served on the board. A local couple named George and Eleanor Stockman hired Wright to design a four-bedroom house on their property a few blocks east of downtown, and their neighbors kept up with the Joneses: A half-dozen Prairie Style houses were built in the next few years along the wooded banks of Willow Creek.
