Specifically, it was a mistake I made reporting on Mount Morris runner Tim Chichester's 11th place finish in last April's Boston Marathon, calling it the best by a local runner in the modern era (1960s on) and second best all-time behind Prescott M. Dean's ninth place in 1917. Since retiring in 2007, Duncan has been a fixture at Brighton track and cross country meets, helping the coaches, cheering all the kids.
