After nearly six hours, a Wicomico County jury found Smiley guilty on all counts they were asked to consider: first- and second-degree attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault against Green, reckless endangerment counts against Green and his girlfriend and two children who were inside the home that testimony showed was shot at, and three firearm charges.
