EAST RUTHERFORD - Before the high school football season began, West Morris' talented senior Michael Burton was profiled as one of the major players to watch in Morris County, a player determined to make up for a lost, injury-riddled junior campaign. Burton carried the ball 16 times for 158 yards and scored a touchdown, returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and threw a 47-yard touchdown pass, leading West Morris to a 28-19 victory over Passaic Valley in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group III championship game at Giants Stadium.
