Abstract (Document Summary)

The Newport News resident, who was up against two Florida contestants, was eliminated after the first "Wheel of Fortune" show taped Friday night aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower at the Norfolk Naval Base. This sad chapter in [Valerie Walker]'s life will air at 7 p.m. May 22 on WVEC-TV, Channel 13.

[Linda Mitzel] will have another reason to watch when the "Wheel of Fortune" crew finishes taping 10 shows here Monday. The Hampton Roads visit is one of the most ambitious for the program, being taped in the Eisenhower's hangar deck, below the flight deck.
