ALBANY, N.Y., Sept. 12 (AP)--Johnny Evers, former major league baseball player of Tinker-Evers-Chance fame, resigned yesterday as general manager of the Albany club of the International League. Evers announced his action in a brief note to the press, saying: "Joe Cambria, owner of the Senators, has my letter of resignation," and left the city without an explanation.
