SOKOLIC Courier-Post Staff WOODBINE An experiment to create a Jewish agrarian community in the sparselypopulated heart of Cape May County began in 1891 when William Benzinovitzacquired the first plot of farmland. In the late 1930s, a wave of German immigrants fleeing the Nazis settled in Woodbine, the last influx of Jewish settlers.
