Abstract (Document Summary)
' " The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention define viral gastroenteritis as an infection caused by a variety of viruses, resulting in vomiting and diarrhea and sometimes headache, fever and abdominal cramps. The Kentucky Department for Public Health informed federal health authorities last week that flu activity had become "widespread" in Kentucky based on feedback from its surveillance system of local health departments, private doctors' offices and various clinics.
