The post comes with high expectations, board of education Chairman Jack Darcey said. Before [A. Chuck Landroche]'s nine years at [Conard]'s helm, the school saw a series of principals come and go in a short span. Landroche has stabilized the school and built a culture of high student achievement, said Darcey, who later praised [Tom Moore], calling him a "dynamic" leader whose "veins run red and gray [the school colors]."
The pool of candidates vying to be Conard's next principal boiled down to three finalists, [David P. Sklarz] said, all from within the district. The other two were not named publicly, but it was Moore's understanding of the Conard community that made him stand out, the superintendent said.
