Abstract (Document Summary)

[John E. Dreslin], as he has done for similar productions for many years, will conduct the orchestra for the Connecticut Gilbert & Sullivan Society's production of "H.M.S. Pinafore" for three days later this month. He has been conductor for 17 of the society's productions since 1986.

"I basically grew up with Gilbert and Sullivan," Dreslin said during a recent rehearsal at Holy Trinity Church on Main Street in Middletown.

MEMBERS of the Connecticut Gilbert & Sullivan Society -- Don Shirer and Julie Church -- recently rehearse a scene from "H.M.S. Pinafore" at Holy Trinity Church in Middletown. The show will open Oct. 27 at Middletown High School.
