Rahm Emanuel, a senior Clinton policy adviser, told Cable News Network "the bottom line is Clinton did not have sex with Lewinsky and did not ask her to lie."
The attorney for Monica Lewinsky, the 24-year-old former intern who reportedly had a sexual liaison with Clinton, also made the interview rounds Sunday. He said Lewinsky would "absolutely, unequivocally" tell the complete story about her relationship with Clinton if she is granted immunity from prosecution.
At the same time, ABC News reported that in the spring of 1996, Clinton and Lewinsky were found in an "intimate encounter" in a private part of the White House. Soon afterward, Lewinsky left her White House job for a post at the Pentagon.
