Abstract (Document Summary)

The Web is a perfect place for the armchair traveler or the frequent flyer. Here are some points of departure.

As a mere grad student at the University of California at Berkeley, Marc-David Seidel set up this service with links to every imaginable airline site. If you want to learn about air travel on the Web, this is a great place to start.

Though the recent crash in the Florida Everglades has cast a shadow on Valujet, the Web page is still pretty cool, and you can review their press releases. Of course, the main attraction of this site are the flights to 26 cities in the U.S. for as little as $39. (Valujet has agreed to temporarily halt flights pending correction of its maintenance problems.)
