SPREWELL CAN'T SAVE KNICKS MAGIC WIN OPENER; CAMBY: 10 SECONDS
[STATEWIDE Edition]

Hartford, Conn.
Abstract (Document Summary)
Nick Anderson scored 19 points and Orlando held off a late rally led by [Latrell] Sprewell to spoil the controversial guard's debut with the New York Knicks, 93-85 Friday night. Marcus Camby of Hartford, traded from Toronto for Charles Oakley last summer, played only the last 10 seconds of the first half for Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy, who has been critical of Camby's work habits. Orlando outscored New York 25-4 in a nine minute stretch of the second half to break open a close game, despite an off night by All- Star guard Penny Hardaway (12 points).
