SCHOOL BUDGET MAY BE SPARED SEWER PROJECT
[3 ENFIELD/NORTH CENTRAL Edition]
Hartford Courant
-
Hartford, Conn.
Abstract (Document Summary)
The cost of the high school's new sewer system may be removed from the school's proposed operating budget, the board of education was told Wednesday night at a board of finance meeting. The $70,000 project would replace Stafford High School's "fragile" septic system with sewers, finance board Chairman Richard Dobson said. Town officials may have the water pollution control authority handle the project, Dobson said. The town has begun studying replacement of the 102-year-old Stafford Public Library and is looking at four possible locations, including land on Orcuttville Road near the high school and middle school.
