Eric D. Burton, former marching band percussion adviser for Coshocton High School, pleaded guilty to sexual battery in Coshocton Common Pleas Court. Coshocton County Juvenile and Probate Court Judge Van Blanchard II defeated Municipal Court Judge Tim France in the Republican primary to represent the party in the juvenile and probate court judge's race in the fall general election.
